Last minute revisions to the Friar's Walk shopping centre were agreed yesterday by City Council planners. The proposals include minor changes to the scheme including an increase in the number of residential apartments from 243 to 281 and a slightly smaller number of car parking spaces. There is also provision for a new restaurant unit and wider existing units for food/drink outlets following the success of attracting Nando's, Pizza Express and Las Iguanas to the scheme. Work is now expected to start within the next four weeks.
